Marine operations for ocean data collection and technology development

img 3280

Planning and Preparation

We begin with detailed planning to define objectives, develop marine operations plans, and prepare our research vessels and teams for fieldwork.

Data Analysis

Collected data is rigorously analyzed using statistical methods, transforming raw information into meaningful insights to guide our research and inform conservation policies.

Reporting and Sharing

We prioritize open science by sharing our findings with stakeholders, ensuring that the data is accessible for policymaking and further research.

Field Data Collection

Our experts conduct on-site data collection using oceanographic equipment to gather accurate environmental and biological data necessary for ocean research.

SOAR operates a versatile fleet of research vessels capable of supporting a wide range of marine operations across canadian coastal waters.
All of our vessels are commercially insured,
transport canada certified passenger vessels, and are operated by qualified (experience and certified) captains and crew.
Our assets include rigid-hulled inflatable boats (RHIBs) equipped with twin outboard propulsion for rapid deployment, as well as larger work boats fitted with davits, deck cranes, and winch systems capable of handling heavy payloads-including mooring deployments, instrument recovery, maintenance and subsea equipment launch and retrieval. We work alongside local vessel operators and fishing fleets, givings us access to additional deck space and local knowledge to support successful marine operations. whether you need vessel support for oceanographic surveys, equipment deployment, coastal monitoring, or field operations in remote locations, our team has the vessels, the crew, and the operational experience to get the job done safely and efficiently.

All of our vessels are commercially insured, Transport Canada certified passenger vessels,
